I can go on all day about how various people have been living under various rocks, but let’s be straight, here; some people just might not know that Playtonic Games, made up of ex-Rare developers, have been itching to make a third Banjo-Kazooie game. The problem was, they couldn’t just make a new one — the rights to Banjo-Kazooie was so tied up in legal copyrights that even touching the fluffy bear and his birdy companion would have probably triggered a swarm of hungry lawyers.
The solution? Make a new Banjo-Kazooie game without even looking at the famous duo. The result? Yooka-Laylee, the story about a chameleon and his bat friend as they get up to fun in a jungle setting. Continue reading
